The Robert Chilton Sr. Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Harvey Chilton and Robert Chilton, whose lives exemplify the power of education and family unity. Harvey Chilton, a dedicated father who valued education despite being unable to read or write, instilled in his children the importance of learning as a means to overcome adversity. Robert further embraced this belief, witnessing firsthand the transformative impact of education during his service in the U.S. Army and later ensuring his own family received a strong educational foundation.
Established by Charles Chilton Sr., Robert’s youngest son and a college graduate, the Robert Chilton Sr. Scholarship Foundation aims to continue their vision by empowering future generations through education. The scholarship supports family unity and education, honoring Robert Chilton’s vision of fostering strong family connections and investing in the future of college students.
